Connection with clear boundaries

Community guidelines

This is a private recovery community, not an anonymous social network. Honest struggle, asking for help, and respectful disagreement belong here. Harassment and exploitation do not.

Protect the people in the room

  • Treat every member with dignity. Do not harass, threaten, shame, stalk, or target someone.
  • Do not post hate, sexual exploitation, graphic abuse, scams, spam, or offers to buy or sell illegal substances.
  • Do not share another person’s identity, treatment history, messages, screenshots, or contact information without permission.
  • Do not impersonate staff or another member, and do not use the community to pressure someone into contact.

Recovery conversations are welcome

Members may talk honestly about cravings, relapse, grief, mental health, and difficult days. Those words are not misconduct by themselves. Respond with care and use a support request when a human follow-up would help.

The app is not monitored as an emergency service. Call or text 988 in the United States, call 911 for immediate danger, or use the emergency services available where you live.

Report and response

Feed posts and chat messages pass through an automated language screen before they are published. It is designed to keep honest recovery and crisis help-seeking available. If you believe a revision request is mistaken, contact your center team.

Members can report a feed post or chat message from inside the app. Center staff review reports, remove content, and can suspend an account from the center when needed. Reports are not shown to the person who posted the content.

Members can also block another member from post or message options and manage blocked members in Privacy & Safety. Blocking hides that person’s profile and community activity and stops their encouragements without notifying them.

For a safety or moderation concern you cannot report in the app, contact your center team or email support@recoverycopilot.app.

Enforcement and questions

A center may remove content, restrict features, suspend access, or end participation when a member violates these guidelines or creates a safety risk. Serious or repeated abuse may be escalated under the center’s policies or applicable law.

Context matters. Staff should review the original content and surrounding conversation before acting, and members may contact the center about a moderation decision.
